Privacy

CustomMail stores your account information, domains, routing rules, messages, and attachments to provide your email service. We do not display advertising in your mailbox or sell the contents of your messages.

Service providers

The application and database run on Northflank. Amazon Web Services processes incoming and outgoing email and stores inbound message files. Cloudflare provides DNS, domain registration, and web traffic services. Stripe processes payments and invoices for subscriptions and domains purchased directly from CustomMail. Apple processes App Store subscription payments. CustomMail receives transaction and subscription status to provide your plan; we do not store your complete card details.

Domain registration details

When you buy a domain through Custommail, we store the registration contact details you provide, including your name, email, phone, and postal address. We share these with Cloudflare and the relevant domain registry to register and maintain the domain on your behalf. Registrar and registry requirements govern how those details are used and disclosed.

Access and security

Mail is accessible to your authenticated account. Use passkeys and two-factor authentication to protect it. Email is not end-to-end encrypted by CustomMail; email delivery requires processing message content.

Crash reports and diagnostics

We use self-hosted error reporting on Northflank to find and fix failures. Reports can include crash and app-hang logs, app and operating system versions, device details, and a random identifier for an app installation. We filter diagnostic reports to reduce personal information and disable session replay, screenshots, and interaction breadcrumbs. We do not use these reports for advertising or tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Delete your CustomMail account

You can delete your account in the native app’s Account settings. To request deletion without the app, email support@custommail.dev with the subject “CustomMail account deletion” and your account email address. We will verify account ownership before deleting your data.

Deletion cancels subscriptions billed directly by CustomMail and removes your account, messages, attachments, addresses, routing rules, and sign-in credentials from the live service. Registered domains remain registered until expiry; transfer domains you wish to keep before deleting. We retain required billing and domain-registration records separately from your account and reserve retired CustomMail addresses to prevent someone else receiving mail intended for you. Transport copies and backups age out under their retention schedules. For data requests or privacy questions, contact support@custommail.dev.

Deleting your CustomMail account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Apple billing continues until you cancel it in Apple subscriptions. Please cancel before deleting your account to stop future charges. You can still delete your account immediately.
